Obituary Preview: Xavier Nyree’ Bennett Stewart was born Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at 4:06 pm in St. Louis, MO,  to the union of Lamario Stewart and Nikkia Bennett. He was his parents’ only son with two older sisters Bria Mone’t and Kelis Monyae. His grandmother Shirley Mae McGill and grandfathers Lorenzo Moore and Nathaniel Stewart preceded him in death. He was taken off life support Sunday, April 10, 2022, after over a month-long battle with a severe heart and lung condition.Xavier was lovingly known as “X” or “Butterman” because he was a hefty baby and resembled the color of butter.  He grew up in University City, MO, attending Jackson Park and Flynn Park Elementary schools, Brittany Woods Middle School, and was currently a sophomore at University City High School where he was awarded for academic achievements.He was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness attending Newstead Congregation.  Xavier learned about and believed in the hope of the resurrection that is promised to us by Jehovah God through his son Jesus Christ (Revelations 21:4).Xavier learned to play chess in 5th grade, played the trumpet in middle school, and had recently joined the baseball team at U City High School. He was an avid gamer often playing Fort Nite, and Minecraft, and loved anime including One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, and Naruto. He was very tech-savvy and enjoyed coding with aspirations of building his own video game.He was a loyal, caring, very honest young man with a huge heart. Similar to his mom, Xavier never met a stranger and was always very social. He was wise beyond his years and was a fun-loving and naturally funny guy. As a young boy, he found a love for the show Martin before watching cartoons. He was also known to break out and dance at any given moment.Often misunderstood, Xavier was unapologetically himself and those who knew him loved him dearly.He leaves to lovingly celebrate his memory Parents, Nikkia & Lamario, Grandmother Gwendolyn Bennett, known to Xavier as “Nana,” Sisters Bria Barnes & Kelis Petty, Aunt Latrice Clayborne, uncle Nathaniel Deon Stewart, and a host of great and honorary Aunts & Uncles, Cousins, extended family & friends including best friends Christopher Hughes  & Cameron DeMyers and his fur brother Marble C. Obituary Preview: Linda Kay (Brown) White was born August 1st, 1949 to the union of Roylee Brown and Dorothy Nott Brown. Linda was the second oldest of ten. She is survived by one sister Lenora Gipperich.    Linda professed her love for Christ in her younger years and was baptized in the church. Linda married Ray Winchester in 1969, and in this union she became the mother of her bonus son Kevin Winchester. Both Ray and Kevin preceded her in death.She received her education in the Rolla School District and her CNA License in the early 80's, and went on to practice more than 30 years until her health declined. In 2013, Linda remarried Melvin White, and within this union she became the bonus mother to two children. Melvin preceded her in death.Linda loved the outdoors and would sit outside to enjoy the day. When she was mobile, she would often take a walk in her neighborhood and to the store.Linda leaves to cherish her beautiful memories with her family and friends: one daughter, Tasha White; one son, Melvin White; one grandson, James Harris who she adored; one sister, Lenora Gipperich; Aunt Barbara Crowell, Aunt Betty Kline; Uncle George and Ronnie Nott; and a host of nieces, nephews, and greats; many cousins, friends, and her church family who sincerely loved her. Linda Kay White will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

She was loved by many. He was known as the 5th best track runner in the state of Missouri during his high school years.On December 21, 1961, he was joined in holy matrimony with Patricia S. Gatewood, his high school sweetheart. From this union four sons were born, Frederick, Jeffrey, Brian and Willie III. His parents, two sons; Jeffrey and Frederick, two sisters; Jacqueline and Constance, all preceded him in death.Willie B., affectionately known as “Joon”, was a hard worker and enjoyed work that was hand driven. He worked for Clark Peoples staining furniture, Big B Supermarkets as a Butcher and had a passion for reupholstering furniture. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He studied music and nursing at SIUC and John A. Logan College. He loved singing and songwriting. Will was a talented musician and finish carpenter. He enjoyed working with his hands and helping people. His personality lit up a room and if you knew him you will always remember his unique sense of humor.Our hearts are broken but we cherish the time we had with Will. He then transferred to Mallinckrodt Elementary School. He evolved in the hallways of McKinley Classical Junior High School where he graduated in the class of 2020 with honors. Due to the pandemic, he chose to further his education online with Concordia University of Austin,Texas majoring in Computer Engineering. Jadun had a strong belief in God. He chose Concordia University, a Lutheran College, to keep his focus and purpose aligned with God. Jadun’s overall schooling was filled with many highlights and achievements.Jadun’s love of sports was inspired by his favorite mentor Joshua Temple (Temple Family). Boxing was his first introduction to the ambition and drive to win in athleticism and personal growth. Although Jadun won his first boxing championship, he decided not to continue because he didn’t like the aggressiveness of the sport.Thereafter, he fell in love with basketball at the age of 10 years old. He was self-taught and determined to become a WINNER! He practiced basketball intentionally in the Bayer YMCA gym where he became a well-known member and ball player. He was highly respected by all of his peers and elders. As a freshman, Jadun was promoted to the Varsity Basketball team where he became the lead point guard. He also ran track and field in the off season where he built his endurance and perseverance.While in high school, Jadun became an entrepreneur. He specialized in building and repairing computers, installing softwares, and computer coding. Jadun was insightful, intelligent, resourceful, eager to learn about money. He had a business mindset and he mentored others on how to build business credit and wealth.Jadun was a compassionate and responsible big brother. He took his role very seriously. He would give them great advice. Jadun was goofy, witty, curious, fearless, and well-mannered.Jadun leaves behind a step father, Kelvin Tate, Sr, stepmother, Ashley Brown, 5 brothers (Kelvin J. Cheryl’s smile lit up every room that she walked into.She was educated in the Normandy School District and held a variety of jobs however, Cheryl's greatest achievement in her life was the four beautiful children she brought into the world: Randy, Keith, Jermaine and Antoinette; and wonderful grandchildren she was most proud of, as well as marrying her lifelong love Robert Eugene Williams, Jr. (who preceded her in death).Cheryl later gave her life to Christ and was baptized in 2016 at New Life Fellowship MB Church in Hazelwood, MO by Rev. Obituary Preview: Rebbie Lowery was born in Oakland Mississippi, January 02nd, 1928. She was the third child born to Ivory Johnson Sr. and Minnie Nesbit Johnson. She was the youngest of twin sister Ruby Rucker-Johnson who was born thirty minutes earlier (or at least that was Rebbie’s account).Rebbie was educated in the Oakland Mississippi Public School System and professed a hope in Christ at an early age.Rebbie migrated to St. Louis Missouri in 1947. She and her twin sister, Ruby, were both employed by “Clean Coveralls.” They were both members of Laundry, Dry Cleaning and Dye House Workers International Union, Local No. 108.Rebbie soon joined Lily of the Valley Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. R.J. Whitley. This would be her first church home in Saint Louis. Rebbie would later join Mt. Beulah Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. E. G. Shields Senior, where she attended until her health failed. Rebbie desiring to be in service later joined First Baptist Church of Elmwood Park under the leadership of her Son-In-Law, Rev. Brian K. Jackson where she served on the Mother Board until her transition into glory.Rebbie’s true love, John Lowery preceded her in death on July 07th, 1997. He was a great father and a wonderful provider. To this union they had one child, Tawana Michelle Jackson (Brian K. Jackson). While furthering her career in Accounting, Krys was employed at the Department of Defense-Defense Contract Audit Agency as an Auditor, a position she truly enjoyed. Krys also served as the Chief Financial Officer for Pajoma Capital Investment and was an intricate part of various committees with the organization.The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Krys. Spending time with her sons, mother, family, friends and her Sorors of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Krys was a ball of energy and a vibe, everywhere she went she lit up the room with her beautiful smile and laughter. Krys loved phrases like “Dope by Default”, “Sounds like a plan (SLAP)” and “It takes a village”. She also loved, loved, loved The Office; one of her favorite phrases was “Well Happy Birthday Jesus. Sorry your party’s so lame”.  Krys would say this randomly and for no reason at all and would have everyone laughing. Obituary Preview: Martha Ann Hill was born on November 6th, 1939 to the parents of David T. Farrar and Louise L. Farrar.  To this union, three children were born.  Her parents and her sister, Jean C. Brame preceded her in death.Martha Ann was a naïve of Webster Groves, Missouri, and a graduate of Douglass High School in Webster Groves.  Martha Ann received her nursing certificate from Missouri Baptist Hospital.  After graduating from Missouri Baptist Hospital program, she worked there for many years as CNA.  Due to her mother’s illness, she left the medical field and started working in the food industry.   She gained her professional cooking from her mother, Louise L. Farrar at Webster Groves Presbyterian Church.  Her first job as a professional cook was at Avery Elementary School as the cafeteria’s head cook.  She was there for several years.  She then went to Reliable Life Insurance in Webster Groves as their head cook.  Due to her parents needing care, she decided to retire early so she could be their caregiver.During her early years, she was a member of Old Community Baptist Church in Webster Groves, MO for over 79 years.  During her time there, she was a member of the Usher Board, Senior Choir and Mother’s Board.  Martha Ann enjoyed leading one of her favorite songs “His Eyes are on the Sparrow” and many others.   Martha Ann had the oldest membership at Old Community Baptist Church.In 1958, Martha gave birth to her son, Ronald E. Farrar.   Thanks to Vivian and Earl McCree they introduced Henry to Martha.  Henry tried to impressed Martha by bragging about being a postal worker and owning his own sailboat.    Apparently, it worked because on July 28th, 1968, Martha Ann Farrar and Henry Hill, Jr.  were joined in holy matrimony by Rev. Catlin at Old Community Baptist Church.   As a result of this union, one son was born: Kevin M. Farrar.Martha Ann was an affectionately loving, God-fearing woman.  To know Martha Ann was to love her smile, her caring and giving personality and her beautiful spirit that was gift from God for her family and friends.  She was a great cook, soloist, care giver, advice giver, role model, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, auntie, cousin and most of all friend.  She demonstrated her love for her family through her actions and wisdom.  She will be greatly missed.Martha Ann passed peacefully at home on February 16th, 2022 surrounded by her husband and son, Ronald.  Martha leaves to celebrate her life her husband, Henry Jr., sons, Ronald Farrar and Kevin Hill.   Her brother, David Farrar the 2nd (Winnie, preceding), her grandchildren, Justin Farrar (Candace), Ivan, granddaughters Gayale Lumpkins and Katlyn Lumpkins.  Her great grandsons, Graeson J. Farrar, Caden G. Obituary Preview: It is our esteemed honor in expressing that Ernest was hereby the first child born in a long line of siblings to Mr. Henry S. Moss, Jr., and Mrs. Johnnie Mae Moss on December 16, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri. Ernest was preceded in death by both beloved parents and beloved brothers, Donald and Kevin Sr.Ernest did indeed accept Christ as his Lord and Savior at a very early age. He and his brood of siblings were members of Visitation Holy Ghost Catholic Church from birth until he claimed the Protestant faith later on in his adult life. As an adult, Ernest had been a long time standing West End Missionary Baptist Church here in St. Louis, Mo.As a child, Ernest attended Visitation Holy Ghost Parochial Elementary School. He would later attend Enright Middle School and graduate via Class of 1975 from Sumner High School, all located in St. Louis, Mo. After high school Ernest joined the United States Marine Corps and served several assignments both stateside and abroad before moving to Los Angeles, Ca. for a brief period. After returning home to St. Louis, Ernest enrolled and studied Photography at St. Louis Community College. He entered into the workforce as a film developer for the old Fotomat Co. and worked as a security guard pastime.Later on, Ernest began working the St. Louis City Marshall Services as a process server prior to starting his career with The Department of Labor – Job Corp Services as a full time public safety officer, where he remained for over 30 years until failing health forced him to retire from a career he absolutely enjoyed.Ernest was a man of many qualities and passions. He loved to talk and tell stories. He enjoyed working on, building and driving fast cars. He also held a deep passion for riding motorcycles throughout the years. One of Ernest greatest passions however, was hunting. He loved to deer hunt and participated as often as he could.Ernest could be very humorous and fun loving at times, but he did have a more serious side as well. Sometimes Ernest would tell the most unimaginable stories and laugh endlessly along the way. He was a man of many characteristics. He could be very graceful, compassionate and even hospitable. Anyone who knew him understood that behind that baritone voice and firm demeanor, Ernest would do anything for you if he could. He loved to roller skate and was an exceptional dancer as a young man. He actually remained an avid and capable dancer even in his older years. Ernest has been many a highlight during family gatherings over the years showing off his dance moves. In spite of his accumulative medical conditions and physical limitations in his later years, Ernest never relinquished his empowering spiritual desire and will to enjoy life as it was presented to him.In 1980, Ernest would meet and fall in love with Ms. Deborah Braxton of St. Louis, Mo. This was the beginning of what turned out to be a lifelong union between them. They would later marry and bring forth six wonderful children.In his passing on to God, Ernest leaves to cherish his very fond memories: his wife, Deborah; 6 children, Albert, Dominique, Janise, Whitney, Johnnie and Emma; grandchildren, Deborah, Fallyn, Candice, Branise, Bruce, Maurice, Serenity, Leanna and Leea. Ernest is also survived by a long list of steadfast and loving siblings: Lonnie Sr., Kenneth, Desmond, Monica, Marsha, Charita, Donita and Allisa; 4 aunts, 2 uncles, many cousins, over 50 wonderful nieces and nephews, along with a host of other family and friends left to embrace such a cherished life story.

Her siblings, Mildred Watson, Otha Curtis Carter and Carolyn Carter preceded her in death. Her surviving sisters are Shirley Watkins and Evelyn Henry.Ruth attended public school and graduated from Soldan High School. She earned an associates degree in Advertising & Design in Commercial Arts at St. Louis Community College. At age 60, she returned to Harris Stowe University to pursue her Bachelors of Art. Due to health complications, she was only shy of two classes to complete the coursework.She accepted Christ at an early age and remained an active member throughout her adult life. She was currently a faithful member of The Church of Adullam.Ruth was a hard worker. She worked at St. Louis County Hospital in dietary. She was a supervisor at Mayflower Bus Company and also worked at Bi-State until her health forced her to retire. Besides being a hard worker, Ruth was known for her positive and adventurous spirit, her zest for life and her compassion for others. She often put the needs of others above her own. As the matriarch of her family, she took pride in planning holidays, celebrations and family gatherings, no matter how big or small. Somehow, Ruth managed to have an individual, unique and special relationship with everyone around her. She welcomed everyone with open arms and she never met a stranger. Ruth’s passions were art, traveling and loving people well. She was always the life of the party.Ruth married Samuel Lee Reddic at the age of 18. After parting ways, she spent precious years with James Taylor who remained her lifetime friend. Obituary Preview: Mary Francis Gooch was born June 14, 1946 in Oakland, Mississippi to Rebbie and David Gooch. She was the second of six children born to Rebbie. At the age of one, Mary, affectionately known to her loved ones as Francis, moved to St. Louis, Missouri. It was there where she met and married Edward Bufford, Jr., and her three children were born to that union: LaDoris Denise (DeeDee), Tonya Shareath, and Edward LaMont. Although they later parted ways, Mary always spoke highly of Edward, and they maintained a good relationship.As a child, Francis did not have much, which led to her leaving school for work at an early age. Although she never graduated, Francis pursued education through those around her and by reading. She was a very intelligent woman. No one would have ever guessed that she was not formerly educated when she spoke. Francis possessed a wealth of knowledge and wisdom that she eagerly shared whenever the opportunity arose.In May 2021, Mary retired from Daimler-Chrysler after close to 30 years of service. Through this job, she no longer worried about how she would take care of herself or her children. She was a strong woman; some thought she would not last on that job because of her small physique, but she was strong-willed as well and determined to be successful. She also enjoyed helping people whenever she could because she never forgot her humble beginnings. Mary was very selfless; she would help anyone with just about anything—she would not support someone else’s habit. She thought you should be able to do that yourself.Francis never thought she was naturally pretty, but she was. She made up for it by ensuring that her clothes were coordinated very nicely. She looked good in whatever she wore; she was so stylish that she influenced several others in her life. People loved being around her because she was a fun-loving person with a heart of gold. She loved dancing, being around friends and family, as well as meeting new people. Mary also dedicated her life to Christ and became a member of First Baptist of Elmwood Park in St. Louis, Missouri. She truly loved her church and church family; she served on the Mother Board until her health failed her, but she always talked about them and prayed that she could someday return to in person services.Mary’s father, her first-born child, LaDoris Bufford, and granddaughter, Amber Bufford, preceded her in death. Obituary Preview: Charles Edward Palmer Sr. (Butla) was born in St. Louis County on April 13, 1959. He received his education in the Kinloch School District and was Kinloch proud! Charles’ love for Christ began at an early age. He enjoyed going to church and would proudly recite his childhood Easter speech, up until he was the age of 62, for his family. He would have us cracking up! “What you looking at me so hard for? I didn’t come to stay, I came to say today is Easter day!”While Charles attended church as a child, he battled addiction as an adult. He was counted out by many, BUT GOD! Through Isaac Little, he was led to the St. Louis Power House Church. Under the leadership of Pastor Joey in 1995, God worked a miracle. Charles was delivered from his addiction, and his relationship with Tavonda and Charles Jr., along with his family, was restored. Charles served in the Ministry for many years, boldly sharing his testimony, traveling, and leading many to Jesus.
