David was a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. He loved his nieces and nephews and spending time with them. David was a member of Monterey Second Freewill Baptist Church, and a Veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed sports and spending time on the farm. David is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Juanita (Glenn) White of Monterey, TN 2 sisters: Betty Howard of Cookeville, TN Faye White of Cookeville, TN
A host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents David was preceded in death by, 2 sisters, 3 brothers and nephews.
Funeral services for David will be held Monday, March 11, 2024 beginning at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home, with Mr. Timothy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, in Cookeville.

Esteliene was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, Nanny Fox, aunt, and friend.  She was loved by those who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
Esteliene is survived by, 3 Daughters, Barbara and Richard Sundermeyer, Peggy and Doug Farley, and Deborah Judd; 7 Grandchildren, Levi, Troy, Rachael, Rebecca, Michael, Mark, and Bryan Judd and his fiancee, Whitney; 14 Great - Grandchildren; Sister, Ada Skipper.

Jean also was the proud great-grandmother to a dozen great-grandchildren.

Johnnie was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, Memaw, aunt, and friend.  She was a charter member of Cookeville First Assembly which later became Life Church, she was very faithful and loved fellowship.  She loved chocolate, birds, and flowers.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed playing guitar and singing.  Johnnie was loved by those who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
Johnnie is survived by, 2 Children, Judy Thomas and Dwayne Thomas and his wife, Jeanette;  Granddaughter, Diona Brown and her husband, James; 5 Great-Grandchildren, Cierra Thomas, Kyler Brown, Kayleigh Brown, Abby Donnafield, and Payton Thomas; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

She was very religious and attended Friendship Church - Cookeville until she couldn't. She liked to sew, do home renovations, gardening, and was a very good cook. Naomi was loved by those who knew her and she will be greatly missed.

Obituary Preview: Danice Verone Taylor, age 76, a McMinnville, TN (Irving College) native and Baxter, TN resident went to be with Jesus in paradise after a sudden illness on February 27, 2024.
Danice was born on April 9, 1947 in McMinnville, TN. He was the son of the late LA and Goldie Taylor. He was preceded in death by loving wife of 58 years, Ann Taylor; parents-in-law, Roscoe and Selma Miller; sister and brother-in-law, Jan Bottoms and Donnie Bottoms, brother-in-law, Johnny Miller; niece and nephew, Kimberley Meche and Marty Bottoms.
He is survived by daughters, Amy (Chad) Crouch, Allison (Brandon) Stiles, April Taylor; grandchildren, Britann (Blake) Driver, Brooklyn, Callie and Cassie Crouch, Bryson, Alaina and Bella Stiles, and great-grandson, River Driver. Several other close family and friends also survive.
Danice was a former member of Hebron church of Christ. After moving to Baxter, Danice began worshipping with the Double Springs church of Christ last year.
Danice was a loving Dad and Poppy. He was a devoted law enforcement officer for 44 years and enjoyed telling others about his law-enforcement career. Danice was honored to serve with so many great men and women in law enforcement. Danice and Ann enjoyed their vacations in Gatlinburg. Danice also loved spending time with his family, friends, and dogs, Bella and Otis.
Danice’s family wants to thank everyone for their prayers, love and support during this very difficult time. His family knows how many people knew Danice and would like to pay their respects. However, per Danice’s wishes, he will be cremated and a small family memorial service will be held at a later date. Known as Chuck to most or “Stick” to his golfing buddies, he was born on December 15, 1948, in Allons, TN. Chuck was an avid golfer in his younger years and enjoyed vintage cars and car shows. In his later life, he cherished his family moments and was a blessing to his grandchildren. They learned through him all life’s worries are less burdensome over an ice cream cone.
Chuck is survived by his wife: Beverly Nivens; his siblings: Gene (Cindy) Nivens and Gwendolyn Gilbert; his children: Charles (Donita) Phillip Nivens, Jr.; Stephen Shane Nivens; Heather (Chris) Naaktgeboren; Brandon (Amber) Burgess; his grandchildren: Sydnie Nivens, Reagan Nivens, Clayton Burgess, Laken Nivens, Liam Naaktgeboren, Gracie Burgess and Ashton Nivens.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents: James B. and Velma Cole Nivens and siblings: Buford Nivens, Pearl Mayberry, Edward Nivens, Kathleen Farmer, Danny Nivens, and Geraldean Ruble.
Chuck’s calm, kind demeanor will be greatly missed along with his wonderful sense of humor. Chuck being devoted to family was always ready and available to assist in whatever they needed and never met anything mechanical he could not fix.

Susan was a kind and compassionate person who was devoted to helping others. She loved being a nurse, sister, aunt and great-aunt and rescuing animals in need. Susan is survived by: Sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Sean McMahon of Queenstown, New Zealand Brother and sister-in-law, William and Rhonda Voss of Crossville, Tennessee 7 nephews and nieces: Cameron McMahon, Benjamin McMahon; Jason Cartwright, Jeremy Voss, Melissa Morden, Kristel Voss, and Angela Voss 9 great nephews and nieces: Lukas, Logan and Lincoln Luhouse; Ethan, Brady and Noah Voss; Madison, Emily and Thomas Morden
Susan chose cremation and the family held a private celebration of her life.

Obituary Preview: William "Randy" Randal Wofford, 67 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Randy was born Saturday, February 2, 1957 in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the son of the late James Lee Wofford and the late Sherrill (Spires) Wofford.
Randy was a loving son, brother, husband, father, Papa, uncle, friend, and amazing man. He loved sports in his younger years, especially baseball. Randy was an excellent baseball player, who caught the eye of The Chicago White Socks previous owner, Arthur C. Allyn. He was an incredible artist who studied at the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida. His original art, was desired by the professors themselves.
He was an enthusiastic and fearless herpetologist, and loved wildlife conservation. Randy was a reptile curator, for Sarasota Jungle Gardens through the 1970’s and 80’s.
He loved to teach others young and old- of the benefits, dangers, pros/cons, of reptiles and wildlife.
He owned and operated his own pet shop for many years. His love for his family was fierce and his faith in God brought him through his darkest times. Randy loved to sing in the car, break out in spontaneous dance, always full of life and love. Life for him wasn't always easy however he always found faith to persevere. He loved fully and wholeheartedly. Randy was loved by those that knew him, and he will greatly be missed.
Randy is survived by, Wife of 30 years, Theresa (Cooper)Wofford; 6 Children, Miranda Ford and her husband, Matthew, Ryan Wofford, Eric Wofford, Krista Wofford Bertram and her husband Trent, Brittany Dotson and her husband Mickey, and Austin Wofford; Adopted Daughter, LaTisha Trent and her husband, Rickie; 9 Grandchildren, Riley, Journee, Reese, Brayden, Mickey Jr., McKinley, Adeline, Hazel, and Baby On The Way; 4 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Siblings, Kathy Wofford, Vickie Wofford, and Joshua Wofford; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by, Brother, JJ Nicholson.

Wanda Grace Norrod - April 14, 1938 - February 14, 2024

Obituary Preview: Mrs. Norrod, a resident of Cookeville, was born April 14, 1938, to Arthur Allen and Viola Hill Sewell in Pickett County, Tennessee. Wanda (“Ma”) was most proud of her family and delighted in time spent listening to the laughter of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Wanda considered her family to be the most important and valued thing in her life. Professionally, she worked many years as an LPN, caring for multiple patients and their families in long-term care and the medical field. She considered nursing a noble profession and diligently sought to uphold its level of compassionate care and professionalism. Many who worked with her, remember her for wearing the traditional white nurse’s uniform and nursing cap long after many began wearing colorful scrubs. Following her years as a nurse, she continued to care for others and serve her community through her work as a hospital volunteer at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Wanda was also a member of the Tennessee Nurses Honor Guard
for several years serving to honor other nurses.
Wanda was a member of First Baptist Church after having been baptized into the faith in the late 1960s at Washington Avenue Baptist Church. She served in several roles throughout her time in church and always enjoyed being in the Lord’s house. She enjoyed the last several years being a member of “Sisters in Grace” Sunday School class at First Baptist where she cherished many precious friendships. Wanda had a strong relationship with Our Lord and is even now basking in the Lord’s love and light.
Wanda was the foundational cornerstone for her family, connecting everyone through home-cooked meals, sweet tea, her famous meat and cheese dip, and a “rarely empty” cookie jar full of chocolate chip cookies. She spent her later years piecing dozens of quilts and crocheting afghans for her ever-growing family. She leaves behind a legacy of beautiful smiles, warm hugs, and cherished memories that will serve to bind her family together in the years ahead.
Wanda is survived by her children Phil Norrod (Lisa), Lisa Russell (Mike), Ann Hellman (Mike), and Joe Norrod (Casey) all of Cookeville, stepdaughter Brenda Nivens (Bill) of Indiana, grandchildren Brian Norrod (Rachel), Emily Norrod, Andrea Watson, Rachel Pugh (Scott), Sara Hellman, Brianna Hellman, Kenna Sullivan (Kade), Cooper Norrod (Tahlah), and Sloane Norrod; step-grandson Michael Russell; and great-grandchildren Zoe Grace, Emma, and Allie Pugh, Ellie Norrod, Shepherd and Clay Sullivan, and Lyra Mae Norrod. She is also survived by a sister, Oleta Beaty; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends Jerrye Scott, Barbara Reagan, Eddie and Kathy Bradley, and Emogene Dyer.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Bethel; her parents; brothers Earl and Ray Sewell; and sister, Carrie Beaty.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Jane Anne Gotcher and the nursing staff at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Pallbearers for the service will be Brian Norrod, Cooper Norrod, Mike Hellman, Mike Russell, Scott Pugh, Eddie Bradley, Kade Sullivan, and the Tennessee Nurses Honor Guard.
Funeral services for Wanda will be held Monday, February 19, 2024, beginning at 11:00 am from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville.

Carlos lived a wonderful life. She in the past, enjoyed doing security work. In more recent years she enjoyed her time as a homemaker, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind a daughter, Sherry Velasquez Perez, and her husband Marcotulio, and a son Chad Harp. Many grandchildren, multiple brothers and sisters, and tons of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carlos was preceded in death by her loving husband Greg Johnson, three brothers; Terry, Dewey, and Wayne Mayberry, two sons; Howard and Jerry Harp, and two nephews.
There will be no services due to Carlos' wishes.

Obituary Preview: David Michael Solimine, 71, of the North Springs Community, Whitleyville, Tennessee, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, February 9, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Dave was born in Kansas and spent his younger years in New Jersey.  He moved to Illinois and was there for several years before moving to Tennessee.
Dave married the former Sue Craig in 2003 and together they made up a large blended family. Dave was an avid fisherman, loved to work with his hands, and worked as a printing pressman for many years.  He was also an ordained minister and spread the gospel as a jail minister in both Jackson and Smith counties for several years.  He and his wife, Sue, rescued and transported many animals over the years after moving to Tennessee, and he loved his fur babies along with his rescue pig "Hammy"!
We will always remember his witty sense of humor, his passion for taking care of his family and animals, his advice on life in general, and his love for the Lord.
Dave is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sue Solimine; 4 Children, April Taylor-Brennan and her husband, Kurtis, Michael Solimine, Amber Lewis, and Debi Pallansch and her husband, Darrin; 9 Grandchildren, Noelle, Haley, and Zachary Taylor, Anna, Zoey Solimine, Brittany, Kevin, Zach Craig, and Eric Pallansch.  5 Great-Grandchildren, Caden, Isabella, Emily, Liam, and Jayden.
He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and their staff for all of the kind words, compassionate care, and gentleness with Mr. Solimine during his time of transition of his life.  Nurses, CNAs, Social Workers, Office Staff, and Chaplain.  You know who you are.  And we thank you all!

She graduated from Hickory High School in Hickory, Mississippi.  She proudly served her country in the United States Navy.  Annette and Kenneth moved to Tennessee in 2008 where they had a house built in Celina.
She is survived by, Four Children, Gordon Howard Andrews, Geoffrey H. Andrews, Glenn Harrison Andrews, and Gwendolyn Hope Andrews.  She has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren;  She is also survived by 3 Brothers, Derryl Boyd Massey, Larry Eugene Massey, and Aubrey Shelton Massey; A host of nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Case who passed in 2012; Brother, Herbert Lavon Massey; Sister, Gloria Janiece Wettingfeld.

James attended King High School in Tampa. He left school early to begin working at Herman Sausage. He also worked for his Mothers Tire store in St. Louis Missouri. He made a career change in his 30’s and started working at Thatcher Glass. He moved over to Anchor Glass when Thatcher Glass closed and retired from Anchor Glass after working 37 years.
He met his wife Sandra while working at Thatcher Glass and that was where their Love Story began, and they made many wonderful memories together. James enjoyed Hunting, Fishing and Watching Football.
He moved to Sparta Tennessee in 2007 with his wife of 41 years, Sandra Jean Lilland Carter.
James is also survived by his children Kimberly D. Prior, Joseph A. Carter, stepchildren Laura Phillips and Christy King, sister Carolyn Hayes, 4 stepbrothers and 1 stepsister. 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis K Carter.
