Deltroy was a devoted father to his three children and an affectionate grandfather which only strengthened his love for his family. To them, he was their rock, and they meant the world to him. Additionally, he found love and companionship with his girlfriend which showcased his ability to open his heart to others.

Those who knew Deltroy well would remember that he had a deep passion for the great outdoors. He would often embark on hunting adventures, hoping to return with exciting stories to share with us. One such adventure took a tragic turn when Deltroy fell from a tree stand, resulting in paralysis that limited his physical abilities. However, in the face of adversity, his spirit remained unbroken. He displayed resilience and imprinted the notion on our hearts that life may throw unexpected challenges, but we must face them head-on with courage and determination. This is just one of the many ways that Deltroy inspires us even today.
And now, I’d like to share one of my fondest memories of Deltroy. I once had the pleasure of towing him home from Pathfinder. He turned out to be the worst towee one could ever encounter, making the whole journey a rollercoaster. But looking back on that day, it brings a smile to my face to recall the laughter shared and the unique bond that was created from such an experience. It's moments like these that I will cherish forever.
Considering Deltroy’s love for poetry, I wish to read a short verse to honor him:
"Twenty plus years we've known,
Through ups and downs, we’ve grown.
Together we walked life's road,
Helping each other bear the load.
Our laughter echoed in the sky,
Amidst the challenges, we stood high.
In memories, you'll live forever,
Our friendship, death cannot sever.
Although it's time to say goodbye,
In our hearts, you'll never die,
Your spirit and love, so strong and pure,
Will live on, that's for sure."
Deltroy's life taught us all valuable lessons; lessons of love, sincerity, loyalty, and perseverance. As we say our final goodbyes today, let us hold onto those lessons and cherish the memories steadfastly. Remember him fondly, and allow his spirit to guide us as we continue on our respective journeys.
